Central bank: Russia’s trend inflation slows down to 5.3% in July
MOSCOW, Aug 13 (PRIME) -- Russia’s trend inflation decelerated to 5.3% in July from 5.42% in June, the central bank said in a statement on Tuesday.
“A trend inflation estimate calculated for a shorter, three-year interval, fell to 4.02% in July to 4.08% in June,” it said.
Trend inflation shows that inflationary pressure on the consumer market is close to the inflation target of 4%, the regulator said.
The risks that inflation will overshoot the target in the medium term prevail over the risk that it will be lower.
